Cure

Three Doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha are the three major components that control all the bodily, psychological and spiritual dimensions of one’s life. Curing the symptoms of the disease may not necessarily give the patient relief from the disease. Thus, Ayurveda believes in the treatment of the root cause of any disease in order to ensure long-term recovery and also discusses in great depth how they work and how to keep them in equilibrium, and how to balance them when they are out of balance.

Agni so called Digestive fire. It can be compared to the term metabolism. This includes digestion, absorption and assimilation. Conversion of the assimilated food to various Dhatus, such as Plasma, blood, muscle, bone, fat, sperm and ovum and finally Ojas or the vital force of the body.

Excretory functions: Ayurveda places great focus on excretory functions to be in proper order to be in perfect health. This will eliminate illnesses from arising. Keeps us in good health, a good heart, and a long life. Ayurveda elaborately explains how one’s lifestyle can be preserved.

Pleasantly disposed contented soul, senses and mind: Ayurveda’s concept of wellbeing is all inclusive. Physical well-being can only be reached if all these conditions are fulfilled. When this gets disrupted it leads to disease.

Ayurvedic therapy consists of two parts-Samshodhan and Samshamana. Shamana treatment is a palliative therapy that normalizes the doshas rather than expel them from the body (samshodhana). Palliation means enkindling Agni and promoting digestion through fasting, which in turn neutralizes toxins. Shamana chikitsa can be exclusively done for easily curable diseases.

Shodhana is a therapy for purification. In this procedure, aggravated Doshas are removed from the body, removing the inner causative factors of the disease. Metabolic process allows large amounts of toxic by-products to be generated in the body. Toxins deposited in the different tissues of Dosha vitiate, Dhatu, etc., induce illness. Shodhana therapy eliminates toxins from the body and maintains Dosha’s balance. ‘Shodhan’ therapy is often referred to as Panchakarma or a five-fold treatment line.It can be given for the diseases which are difficult to manage only by palliative therapy.

1.Nasyam – The administration of herbal preparations through the nostrils(Nasal Route Therapy).

2.Vamana – This is the method of removing contaminants through the mouth by causing vomiting by providing herbal preparations after adequate preparatory processes such as oleation (snehana) and sweating (Swedana). Specially suggested for diseases dominated by Kapha.

3.Virechana – Herbal preparations are given, which have the property to produce purgation(Elimination of toxins through (rectal passage). Efficient shodhana treatment system for diseases due to Pitta vitiation and certain Kapha cases.

4.Vasthi – Specially formulated medicinal oil added via the rectal route. This procedure can correct diseases caused by Vata vitiation.

5. Rakthamoksha – A blood-letting therapy, which is performed for the illness caused by pitta vitiation.

Ayurveda encompasses different methods for the evaluation of wellbeing. The physician carefully examines the primary signs and symptoms of sickness, particularly in relation to the nature and source of the imbalance. They also assess the suitability of the patient for particular therapies. The doctor arrives at the diagnosis by direct assessment, observation and physical examination, as well as inference.

Gastroenterology

According to Ayurveda, Agni is the gatekeeper of life that regulates digestion and metabolic functions. The nutrition and energy are provided via Agni for Vital breath(Prana), Immunity(Ojas), Dhatus(tissues). The very concept of well-being (svasthya) is a delicately balanced rope play, the balance being mediated by the bio-fire (Agni). When Agni is balanced, it helps to encourage strong immunity and long, stable life. Ama is the accumulation of toxins in the body from improperly digested food or waste materials in the body due to impaired Agni. This is the foremost cause of all diseases from the body. Improper functioning of Agni contributes not only to multiple gastrointestinal diseases but also to various diseases as well. Since the imbalance in Agni is the root cause of any disease, We give priority to balance the impaired Agni for a better cure. We treat diseases like Gastritis, Acid Reflux, Flatulence, Constipation, Loss of Appetite, Indigestion, Irritable Bowel Syndrome(IBS), Anorexia Nervosa, Colitis, Liver Diseases, Jaundice.

Respiratory System

Breath (universal energy) is the essential aspect of every life of a living being. It is the vital sign of life which commences from the first moment of life. i.e the birth of the individual and stops only at the last moment of the life i.e death. It also encompasses our whole system to be focused and function in equilibrium. The Breath has a greater role in nourishing the tissues with oxygen and cleansing the gaseous and toxic waste from the body. With our busy and hectic schedule, we do not give importance to regulate breathing in the modern era. Due to improper breathing pattern, there is a rise in many respiratory diseases like Acute bronchitis, Asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary disease (COPD), Influenza, Pleural cavity diseases, Paediatric Respiratory Diseases, Pulmonary Vascular Diseases, Respiratory Tract Infections, Respiratory Tumours, Restrictive lung Diseases, Lung infections. We treat Respiratory diseases through Dietary habits, lifestyle changes through yoga, meditation, Pranayama, specialized medications, and panchakarma therapy.

Circulatory System

In human beings and other multicellular animals, the transport of nutrients to the tissues and eliminating wastes from the organs takes place by a fluid medium, the blood (Rakta dhatu) that circulates throughout the body by circulatory system. It is the heart that keeps us alive till the last breath without resting and one among the Trimarma (vital spots of life).

Heart is one among the Dasha Pranayatana (10 seats of life) – Murdha(head), Kantha(throat), Hridaya(heart), Nabhi(umbilicus), Guda(rectum), Basti(urinary bladder), Oja(immunity), Shukra(sperm or ovum), Shonita(blood tissue) and Mamsa (muscle tissue). Excessive stress(Chinta) on the mind and body along with unhealthy eating habits, defective lifestyle can be detrimental to the health of the heart and leads to cardiovascular diseases. We treat hypertension, peripheral artery disease, varicose veins, dyspnoea, skin diseases by purifying the vitiated blood and restoring the normal functions of the blood not only through specialized medications, panchakarma, dietary modifications but also by providing psychological counselling to the patients to get rid of the illness.

Endocrine

Endocrine system is responsible for secretion of Hormones and Enzymes to regulate the entire function of the body. The hormone acts as a messenger which travels through the blood and body fluids to tissues and organs for the smooth functioning of the system. Hormones are quite essential for ensuring the overall well-being of any person. Imbalance of hormones can result from a number of issues including sedentary lifestyle. We manage diseases such as diabetes, thyroid diseases, menstrual irregularities, obesity and other metabolic diseases by rectifying the agni through specialized medications and lifestyle modifications through Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation.

Musculoskeletal

The Musculoskeletal system including connective tissues in the joint and related structures which includes the joint capsule, ligaments, tendons, muscles etc. Vata dosha is the chief coordinator of the body. It is responsible for physical and mental abilities, sensory and motor responses and all activities happening in the body. Due to the activity of Vata, the entire body works as a single unit and all functions take place normally in a synchronized way. Involvement of vata dosha enables a synchronized function of these components of the musculoskeletal system leading to many kinds of movements which define our life activities. If the normal vata gets vitiated it leads to many diseases such as Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Gouty Arthritis, Osteoporosis, Spondylosis – Cervical, Thoracic & Lumbar, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Fibromyalgia, Tendinitis, Cramps, Myositis, Frozen Shoulder. We treat these diseases by rectifying the impaired Vata dosha through panchakarma, specialized medicines, dietary modifications.

Neurology

In Ayurveda, Vata dosha is directly responsible for the nervous system. The nervous system is responsible for sensory functions and motor functions. It uses electrical and chemical means to help all parts of the body to communicate with each other. Nervous system controls every cell, tissue, organ and system of the body. If the nervous system gets affected, these nerve messages to and from the brain would be disrupted leads to disease. We manage stroke, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, sciatica, Parkinson’s Disease, Neuropathy, Migraine with specialized medicines.

Renal System

The renal system is a major group of organs that filter the bloodstream out of excess fluid and other contaminants. To manage and remove toxins, evolution has blessed the human body with special mechanisms. The purpose of the urinary system is to remove waste from the body, regulate the flow and pressure of the blood, monitor electrolyte and metabolic levels, and regulate the pH of the blood. In Ayurveda, the malas are excretable products or waste products of the body, which play an important role in maintaining the healthy state of the body and, if not excreted out of the body in time, may produce diseased conditions. Wrong dietary choices, stress, and unhealthy lifestyle factors make it impossible for toxins to be successfully eliminated by the already overburdened excretory system. As a consequence, toxins are lodged in the body and trigger health issues. The effects of toxin production in the kidneys are kidney stones, renal dysfunction, blood in the urine, protein in the urine, elevated urea levels, and many other complications.
