The word yoga is derived from the Sanskrit word "yuj" which means, "to unite," It is related to the English word "yoke". At its core, yoga means union; the union of body, mind, and soul; the union of ego and spirit; the union of Jeevatma and Paramatma.
Acharya Krishnavarma has contributed “VEDIC YOGA”, which aims at complete cleansing of body, mind & soul.
origin is from Atharvana Veda which stress on different paths to experience moksha.
They are:-
• Jnana yoga- through knowledge.
• Bhakti yoga-through faith.
• Karma yoga- through action.
• Raja yoga- through being divine.
Of this Vedic yoga comes under Jnana yoga.
Mind, a wandering traveller has its abode in the seven chakras, the energy centres of our body. The main concept is that if the body, mind & soul is impure, then positive energy cannot enter the chakras. We can cleanse them by performing yogic procedures for shareerasuddhi, prayer & breathing exercises for Manosuddhi, & experiencing silence or meditation for Atmasuddhi.
No one can open the door to the path of divine without cleansing one’s body, mind & soul. Vedic yoga basic principle deals with this concept of Shareerashuddhi, Manoshuddhi & Atmashuddhi. It’s a method to enjoy the bliss of purity & enlightenment. Its listening to the sound of divine- SILENCE inside you.
